Which subs are better

alpines are a more realistic sub, solobarics are a lot more flash than anything. type ares are definitely a good sub, and i usually don't like mainstream brands but they are very dependable.

Solo barics definitely hit hard and are loud they were too loud for me. Depending on the sound you want both can be a good selection. I personally like deep clean bass that doesn't shake houses a mile away. Just make sure you have an a with enough power for the subs.

my boy has two of them and they slam to any type of music.

i know a lot of people with solobarics.

they are really good subs.

I Have 2 kicker solobaricl7 12 inch and they sound awesome..

if i were u i would just go wit any kicker brand

Tough answer.. The L7's will be LOUDDD.... BUT.. the alpines will have better clarity and sound quality (and will also keep it real loud).. so you could have decent db levels and nice quality with the alpines or just loud loud db levels and not so nice of clarity with the L7's.. i had 2 L7's and i got rid of them for alpine 1222d's just cause i found the clarity of alpine to be nicer.. the L7's did blow out the back window to my SUV though.. so.. i guess if you want it to bang.. go L7

both are good speakers, but if you go to onlinecarstereo.com you will find all different types of subs, and get them at a good price.
