  1. Plainfield's taxes are skyrocketing becasue of the new schools and it's in the middle of tornado alley

Tinley is a more established stable older comminity

  2. That all depends on what you want...

Plainfield is exploding right now ( I predict that in the next 10-15 years it will be the new Naperville). Home prices are reasonable, taxes are relatively low (depending on your property size and type) and industry is expanding- it's really coming up fast- I would say Plainfield over Tinley Park but if you want a more established community or maybe a greater variety in residential demographics then I would go with Tinley Park as Plainfield is primarily young families- schools are decent- again they're coming up fast. Crime is low in Plainfield but it's not like Tinley Park is a hot bed of activity either- In Plainfield you're in Will County so the crime statistics drop dramatically- but every town has "that one area".

I recommend spending some time in both areas- talking with co-workers or friends who may already live in the area. Talking with a real estate agent about the different areas is a great place to start if you don't know anyone who lives in either town. Do some online research, check out each towns website and spend some time just driving around- in and out of residential areas- see what you like.

    Good Luck!

  3. plainfield because it's not in cook county and cheaper.
