  1. Well it depends on what your trying to achieve with your subs. If your looking for something thats is just ok and sounds ok then then either one of those would do. The only problem with both of those subs is that they cant handle that much power. For the MA Audio HK 120 XC subs they are a 12" round sub that can only handle 600 watts rms of power and 1200 watts of peak power which is going to cost you about $189.00 and that is the cheapest I have seen them online for. For the 15" MTX Thunder 8000 those are also 600 watts rms and 1200 watts of peak power and those will cost you about $369.00. So niether of those would do if you wanted something to sound really good. If you were wanting to really get a really really good bang for your buck, i would highly recomend going with Kicker and either their 08 or 06 seirous of L7 subs. Their Kicker 08S12L7 is a 12" square sub can handle  750 watts of rms and 1500 watts of peak power and will cost you $238. Their 08S15L7 which is a 15" square sub can handle 1000 watts rms and 2000 watts peak and will cost you $289. And if you just want to go crazy they got these subs called SoloX subs also square subs. Their SoloX S12X2 12" sub and handle 2,500 watts of rms power and 5,000 watts of peak power for $679.00, or their SoloX S18X2 18" subwhich can handle 5,000 watts of rms and 10,000 watts of peak power for about$799. Not to mention that these subs sound great and hit hard in either seal or ports boxes. I personal have owned a pair of 06S10L7 10" subs which was the model before these in a sealed box they they hit harder then my buddies 4 12" subs. I hope this information is able to help you and what ever you decied on getting. Look at the subs rms power cause that is what matters in deciding on what you want to get cuz any power you put in your sub above their rms is going to sound like c**p. And good luck with this.

  2. There both good subs but the ma will probably put out cleaner sound. The MTX Thunders are known for not being very crisp.

  3. the mtx is the better one of the two mtx audio sub gives you more volume and bigger boom

  4. neither of them are the "best" sub neither of them are even good subs but out of the 2 id say the MTX would be better.

  5. mtx

  6. the 15 if you want more bass but the 12 will be cheaper because you'll need to buy and amp for both

  7. the mtx thunder series subs are great stuff. they will pound and sound good. the 8000's are sweat subs and with a 15" its gonna give you all the bass you want. go for the mtx

  8. the MA audio "can" handle 100watts RMS more (but it non CEA-compliant) and i cant find any info about the sensitivity so its probably low (the higher the better)

get the MTX, its CEA-compliant and a tried and true brand
