Which subwoofers should i buy? I want to upgrade from 2 15" alpine type R 1542D.?

Question

I am currently running 2 15" alpine 1542 D type R subs in the back of my galant and i want more bass and i am unsure as to which subs i should consider for my next purchase. I think i want to run 2 12" instead of the 15". I was looking at 2 pioneer premier competition SPL TSW3001-D4 SPL or 2 Alpine SWX-1243D. Which of the 2 is better? Also if there are any other subs that i should be looking at please let me know. I also need to kno what amps i should look at to properly push these subs. Thanks in advance for the help.

the P3's are very good, but if Type X's are in your price range, then i would look at the Rockford T series.  The T1's or the T2's would get the job done and then some.  Look em up, ull be impressed.  You can get them new off ebay for relatively cheap.

it sound like u want to get into a competition woofer ...the premiers r good for that purpose ...some other brands to consider r mmats juggernauts or dreadnauts(more musical than juggs) ,memphis mojos,or fi btls(best bang for buck woofer i know of)....all of these woofers will be just as good or better than the premiers in my opinion...amp wise i would look at mmats(i went to a comp and 2 of the 3 people who beat me used mmats amps), rockford t2000 or t4000, or memphis 2500 or 4000watt amps...good luck

look at the solo baric L7s from kicker, these are the perfect subs in my opinion they hit real hard and clean, any of the solos from kicker are awesome, amp-wise if i was going with the L7's, i would look at the zx1500.1, they easily are perfect for the L7's.
