Which surname do you prefer and why?

Hamer, same as above - more unique.  Is it pronounced  "Hay-mer?"

I prefer EDWARDS because it is more common. Hamer, as what is said above, is unique that is why how to say it is confusing. It might be mispronounced and people will be confused, unlike Edwards which is just, you know, Edwards.

I like "Hamer" because its more unique than Edwards.  Definitely Germanic sounding, which is cool.
