Which swimming style will help burn fat off thighs and butt?

I have a pear shaped body and I am learnign to swim on my own. I wanted to know which swimming style will me healpul to get leaner things n butt.

Also any tips for a begginer learning alone ?

  1. I don't think it matters which one you do. But I think the breast stroke because it has such a unique kick.


  2. butterfly... haha, well that IS the hardest stroke.

    if you dont like that then id try the breast stroke...

  3. Lots of kicking on your back should help, but dry land workouts are also important.  Going to the gym and targeting your thighs and such is beneficial.  

    Overall, swimming strengthens all muscles, so if you work hard enough on a regular basis, you should be fit in a month or two.  You'll have to work VERY hard, though!
