Which team did u think would do extremely well in IPL??(before it actually started..)?

DECCAN CHARGERS.Because all the players in deccan chargers are great cricketers at their countries side.so that's why the MANGEMENT OF DECCAN CHARGERS also did not blame their team like vijay malya.ROHITH SHARMA attracted all the audience with his excellent performance.But unfortunately,all the other players are not in form,so they were defeated by all teams.But deccan chargers will be the winner of NEXT IPL if all the players will get their form.the team which has more no.of all-rounders have the capability to win the 20-20 game.I think DECCAN CHARGERS have the no.of all-rounders such as SIMONDS,AFRIDI,STYRIS,GILCHRIST(wk&bat).

I didn't think anything of that sort, because I know that cricket is an unpredictable game, and even the teams which may seem weak on paper, may also outshine the teams having many big names in their squads. I actually didn't consider one particular team out of 8 as favourites, before the start of the tournament.

But I must say one thing. I expected Deccan Chargers, Kolkata Knight Riders, and Royal Challengers Bangalore to perform much better than what they did. Deccan and RCB had many talented players, but they didn't play up to the expectations. Kolkata Knight Riders didn't have many great players, but I thought that if they played with full committment, they would do well. Besides, before the start of the tournament, I didn't knew that the key players of KKR like McCullum and Ponting won't stay for the complete tournament. Another thing is that, I never imagined that Rajasthan Royals would actually emerge as the champions before the start of IPL, but they made their intentions very clear right after the start.

I am from Kolkata and Sourav dada is my favourite cricketer. Hence, I have been an ardent supporter of KKR. It's true that KKR did disappoint many of us fans. Their performance wasn't upto the mark, and they should have done a lot better. But as a true fan I never stopped supporting KKR, and ultimately, they did win in their last match against KKR, in which Ganguly played the most crucial role. That showed me a streak of hope. Atleast, we ended on a positive note, and we can try again next year. Even after the end of IPL, I am supporting KKR, because I am loyal to my city, and I believe that as long as there is a next time, there is always hope.

If you mean the most advertisting & adding glamour to the team stuff, then I'd have to say Shahrukh Khan did that with his knight riders. I supported them along with my home team Punjab.

Kolkata started off really well but just couldn't maintain the moumentum while Punjab did very well before losing in the semis.

I thought Chennai Super Kings would do well, before IPL actually started bcoz they had Mahendra Singh Dhoni as the captain and they had some great players like Hayden, Morkel & Hussey! And Super Kings actually did very well in IPL...they were on the verge of winning the finals too but Yusuf Pathan made RR win the IPL Cup!

Well I thought all of the teams recruited really well. To begin with I thought the teams with the strongest lineups were the Deccan Chargers and the Kings XI Punjab. The Deccans some big hitters on their team such Adam Gilchrist, Herschelle Gibbs, Shahid Afridi and Scott Styris. They had a few good bowlers too such as the likes of R.P. Singh and Chaminda Vaas but I didn't see enough depth and variety in their bowling attack.

I thought before the tournament, and still think, Punjab had the best team. With players such Shaun Marsh, Kumar Sangakkara, Yuvraj Singh, Mahela Jayawardene, Irfan Pathan and James Hopes in their batting ranks, and skilled bowlers such as Piyush Chawla, Shanthakumaran Sreesanth, VRV Singh, Brett Lee (to begin with) and (again) Irfan, I thought they had a great balance.

When I first looked at the teams I thought Rajasthan and Chennai had quite a few inexperienced players when compared to other teams and whilst I supported the Superkings throughout the tournament, I didn't expect either team to excel. How wrong was I! I think all the players who participated in the IPL, particularly Rajasthan and Chennai players, grew a lot during their experiences and will continue to do so as cricketers. Well done to all those who were involved in creating such a thrilling competition.

Kolkata Knight Riders created a lot of hype as others have also said it. It was a SRK team and had some good players in it. Infact, the first match of IPL did give fire to this expectation. But somehow, they lost their way somehow and could not even reach semis.

Other team which I expected to win was Mumbai. And it crashed as well surrounded by controversies as well.

After IPL, I have started to like Rajasthan Royals obviously for their win. Here is a team which was cheapest and came out toppers. And I still support my home team- Delhi Daredevils. Hope Delhi wins next time.
