  1. Houston by far. Dallas may not make the playoffs, Houston may win a championship.

  2. With Artest going to to Houston. My money is on the Rockets. Artest is really good especially if he put his mind in just playing basketball. With that, Houston will have their Big 3.

We have seen Dallas in the later part of the season. I have been watching the free agency but they haven't done anything right now to improve their team.

  3. Houston is the new Big 3.

    Plus Battier. Look out.

    Dallas is so '06.

  4. Houston added Ron Artest, who is a defensive beast. Adelman is a defensive minded coach, so the Rockets will be a great defensive team. They also have Tracy Mcgrady, who is one of the most explosive scorers in the league (when healthy), and Yao (when healthy. The Mavs have done nothing but add Gerald Green and Diop.  Diop is a great signing, even though he's getting overpaid. Green is a straight up athlete, but he doesn't have the basketball I.Q. and the court vision to be a star. Dirk and Kidd are getting older and Howard is inconsistent. However, Carlisle is unproven in the city of Dallas, so anything can happen.

Conclusion: The Rockets will be better than the Mavs and the 4-5th seed, that is if they are healthy.

  5. What up Informative24,

Right now you'd have to give the nod to the Houston Rockets.  The Rockets were a threat to finish as the #1 seed in the West last year with an injured Yao Ming.

The Rockets get Yao back and also have added:  Artest and Barry from the free agent market.  When you observed last year the Rockets barely got blown out- because of their defensive style of play- and adding Artest makes them that much tougher.  They actually are quite a threat to be the Best in the West- and a possible contender for the Championship- (the key for them though is being healthy and also team Chemistry).

The Mavericks hobbled into the playoffs last year and really didn't do very much to help their team over the offseason.  The West got that much tougher- with Portland getting Oden back and adding Bayless to their backcourt.  Although Denver and the Clippers seemed to have slipped a bit- thanks to returners from injury:  The Lakers, Rockets, Blazers, and Hornets have all gotten tougher- and you still have the Jazz, Spurs, Suns to consider.  i think Dallas can make the playoffs but they won't be as tough as the Rockets.

The only major off-season news that you've seen in Dallas is the replacement of Avery Johnson with Carlisle and the off the court issues of Josh Howard- i wouldn't say that they got any better.

  6. The Houston Rcokets have the Talent with the addistion of Ron Artest

Dallas have good talent as well but I doubt they'll be the same team that won 60 games 2 seasons ago. I say Houston will have the better season, besides the Rockets have size dallas does not.

  7. i like houston,

  8. **** dallas

    houston

    alston, mcgrady, artest, shane, yao

    steve francis off da bench

  9. houston by an incredible land slide

they will be in the play offs for sure and they wont be at the bottom of the bracket like last season. if this trade works out they will be strong contenders

dallas hasnt done anything but get one of their players in trouble with drugs and drag racing.

    no brainer

  10. as much as i hate to say it we are on a down fall soo imma say houston

  11. Houston was better before they got Artest .We will have to wait and see how they play with him.

  12. houston because dallas didn't change their team

  13. that's a no brainer. i would say houston because of the off season adds and with yao comeing back. watch out

  14. Houston...they have actually tried to improve themselves

  15. Houston

  16. Houston will have a better season. Dallas is slowly on the downfall, and they resigned DeSagana Diop and that is there only real move this offseason. Plus they are aging, they have 7 guys who are entering their 10th year or more.

Houston has added Ron Artest, and they acquired Joey Dorsey and Brent Barry. They are pretty good shape, but the west is still tough.

  17. definitly houston
