  1. My first thought was the Wallaby forward Matt Dunning but he only weighs 116kg.

But I think the title for heaviest forward goes to the Tongan team, with their prop forward Mosese Moala who weighs 133.33 kg and each player in the team is said to average 114.3kg.

  2. Fiji

  3. Samoa, their no. 3 is the heaviest man in the tournament weighing in at about 20 stone

  4. I think the first guy hit the nail on the head!

Did you notice in yesterday's South Africa vs Samoa game that the Samoan scrum weighed a total of 943 kg. That's an average of 118 kg per front row player, it's huge!

Well South Africa weren't far behind - their scrum weighed 925kg's in total!

  6. Good question. I'm too lazy to check the stats so I will take a stab - probably one of the Tongan guys or Os du Randt (125kgs) from RSA.

Couldn't help myself, had to fire up a search engine for the Tongan guys.

Their heaviest player is 29-year-old prop forward Mosese Moala who weighs in at 133.3kg ! But not sure if he is actually playing in the WC squad.
