Jamaica in pure speed, but US in hurdles because we swept one event w/ three US men. US in all the field events b/c Jamaica just doesn't compete there

You're asking a compound question:  track AND field.  Americans are better in the field, Jamaicans better on the track in the shorter sprint events and hurdles.
