LSU, Auburn, and Alabama all have a great shot this year so I don't know who to pick.

  1. The popular pick is Auburn, and that may end up being the case.

However, I am going out on a limb and picking LSU. While it is true that they don't have a proven QB, with the talent they have else where all they really need is a guy smart enough not to s***w it up.

Combine the athletes on their roster with the fact that they have one of the best O-line's in the country (arguably #2 behind Oklahoma), and you can see that they could still have a very solid offense.

I don't really think I even need to waste effort making a case for their defense.

Also, Auburn has question marks at the QB slot too. Kodi Burns can run the rock, but can he toss it?

IMO, the biggest advantage that I can see for Auburn is the fact that their SEC East schedule is quite a bit easier than LSU's. (UT, Vandy, and UGA vs Florida, USC, and UGA)

All things considered though, my pick is LSU.

  2. I agree with Saintsfanchad except I think LSU will make it back to the NC game.  Please bring Ohio State back.  There's nothing like a guaranteed win.

  3. LSU will repeat.

  4. doesnt matter, georgia will whip the sec west winner in the sec championship

  5. Alabama.

  6. don't know about that, but i can garauntee you that whichever team wins the SEC (east & west) will be the team that all SEC fans will suddenly be diehard fans of (and they'll claim it's always been this way)...

...you didn't see ANY LSU fans back in 2004 when they were losing to middle-of-the-pack Big 10 teams like Iowa ;)

  7. Gotta go with the LSU Tigers...sure they lost what? 16 starters but they were not hurt as bad as everyone thinks...sure, the QB situation is questionable but you gotta understand, we don't rebuild, re reload.  Granted, we might not go national again, but I don't see why we can't stay atop of the all out, ever unpredictable, roughest, toughest conference hands down in all of NCAA football, the SEC!!!!!  Geaux Tigers!

  8. Auburn.

  9. Objectively, I like Mississippi State.  Sly Croom has recruited well and put together a pretty good team under the radar.  They won 7 last season, but most of their players are coming back.  Ole Miss is terrible.  Arkansas will crumble under Petrino, and the three favorites, LSU, Auburn and Alabama all have issues.  Bama is going to be playing too many true freshmen to have a chance at it.  LSU and Auburn have problems at QB.  I think that the SEC West is wide open and it's a perfect time for a team like MSU to climb in and take it.

  10. Notice how the dummy Little 11 fans always come on the SEC questions to rant and rave about us (i.e. that Penn State milkshake drinker)?

I'd love for my team over to the left to win it, but I'm not stupid.  I'll go with Auburn.  Although, Ole Miss is supposed to be better than last year, and some people think they could finish as high as 3rd (5th or occasionally 4th are the more common predictions) it would be a miracle for them to win.  Auburn, from what I've heard anyway, is loaded almost everywhere-except quarterback, which is admittedly a problem.
