  1. The kangaroos will i think they are planing to go to brisbane or near there.=]

  2. I reckon the Kangaroos could leave Melbourne and relocate to Canberra as they have been playing games during the years there and to make a official side in the comp out of canberra could be good for the city and surrounding areas.cheers

  3. I reckon the Crows, Eagles and the Power should leave Melb, and bloody stay out.

  4. Hawthorn is already expanding is home game schedule in Tasmania from 2 to 4 every year. I don't think this is enough though. Tasmania is a true AFL homeland with four of the Hall of Famers coming from there, and many more stars besides. Also the Hawks often get bigger crowds (30,000) in "Lonnie" than they do in Melbourne. It is time Melbourne woke up and recognise that Tassie deserves it's own team!

re: The Kanga's, they tried to relocate to Western Sydney/ Canberra at a time when NRL was just starting to recover from it's Super League fiasco, which was an absolute disaster, because fans who could have been won over two years earlier (also off the back of Sydney's 1996 GF appearance) were flocking back to Rugby League. But definately Tassie, and maybe NT need at least 1 team.

Whilst I am at it - Bring back the State of Origin as well!

  5. The Kangaroos! They should move to the ACT or NT.

  6. I'd say the roos because they're going broke and have the least number of fans. the afl discussed relocating them to Queensland in about 5 years.

they are the only ones off the top of my head that would truly benefit

  7. The relegation system would be a good idea in my view having a top eight and bottom eight playing in different competitions.

The bottom 2 from A dvision get relegated each year and the top two of B Division get promoted each year.

The Kangaroos are playing their home games at Carrara now. I do not think they would move their permanently owing to the fact that Queensland is so pro-rugby league.  Also I don't see a second team in Sydney either.

Tasmania is an option for one side but lets face it (and I am Tasmania) we have great footballers but not the crowds to watch ever second week here at home.

I would like to see a permanent side in Canberra.  Which side is debateable.  Maybe the Kangaroos would have the inside running.

  8. Personally I think it's a bad idea. When a club moves interstate it looses most of it's history. I'm much more in favour of relegation and promotion style system, using the VFL, WAFL and SAFL as equal 2nd or 3rd Divisions, and brand new teams in the other parts of the country. But I accept it will never happen.

Given that the last Victorian clubs to join the competition, way back in the 1920's - the Roos, Hawks and Dogs - still have the fewest supporters and members, I think it shows that they're always going struggle financially in Melbourne. So I think the money the AFL is offering them to play some 'home' games interstate will always be important to them, and I think they'll be forced to keep it up year after year.

So I think eventually it will be the Roos, Dogs and Hawks who have the supporter base in their 2nd home to make the move. And it will happen as soon as they have a huge financial crisis and the AFL offers to 'help them' as they did with South Melbourne (=Sydney).
