  1. no MSG is just going to be renovated, this summer i think

    islanders getting a new one soon too


  2. Pepsi Center opened in 1999 for the Avs.  Before that, they played at McNichols Sports Arena (which was torn down to accommodate parking for Invesco Field at Mile High Stadium).

  3. NJ Devils got a new arena in 2007.

    Pittsburgh Penguins are gonna be changing arenas in 2010.

    Dallas Stars got a new arena in 2001.

    Phoenix Coyotes got a new arena in 2003.

  4. madison square garden is getting renovated but i read in an article that it will not be fully complete until 2011

    toronto got a new arena in 2000

    from the maple leaf garden to the acc

  7. I think Detroit is the only original six team without a relatively new arena (though I remember when the Joe was new and we were all muttering about losing the great Olympia).

    The Rangers are in the "new" MSG, but it's not new.

    Toronto, Montreal and Boston have much newer rinks. Chicago left Wirtz for The United Center.

  9. What King said and to add to it, with new owner Darryl Katz, he will fund the costs of a new building in Edmonton for the Oilers.
