Those are the teams that will most likely make the top 8, but as far as the actual seed is concerned, its a bit too early to determine that yet. So this isn't in any particular order.

  12. This is a good question, since there are so many good teams in the Western Conference.  Barring some serious injury, we can assume the following 5 teams will definitely make the playoffs:

    1. Lakers

    2. Rockets

    3. Hornets

    4. Spurs

    5. Jazz

I anticipate that there will be a close fight between 4 teams for the last 3 spots (Suns, Mavs, Blazers, and Nuggets).  The Warriors have a good team, but they won't make it in the ultra-competitive Western Conference.  They didn't make it last year with Baron Davis, and being without him isn't going to help their campaign.  And the Clippers simply won't have enough to be in the top 8.  I think these are the 3 teams that will take up the final spots:

    6. Suns

    7. Mavs

    8. Blazers

  13. 1.Lakers 60-22(They'll obviously take #1 with Bynum, and Pau Gasol. Kobe Might actually have a better year.)

2.Hornets 59-23 ( They'll be better than last year that's for sure the second year they'll be together for a full season, the past few someone always got injured.)

3.Mavericks 59-23 ( Why does everyone expect them to be going down they would've taken a top 3 spot last year for sure if it wasn't for dirk getting injured and for avery to keep playing Half-Court in the second half they ran away with some games in the first half when avery let them run. So why does everyone still think they're on the decline they got the past MVP and a hall of famer in kidd and an all star in Howard and also a good shooting guard in terry, and a great offensive rebounder in dampier. If you saw their games without dirk which was like 5 or 6 They would've won all those games with dirk. which would've given them a 56-26 record. Didn't anybody see how good Dirk was with Kidd shooting lights out. in practically every game he played with a messed up ankle. Imagine him taking 25 shots this year getting around 30points Dirk averaged 27.3 with Kidd Averaged more after the injury when he become their clutch shooter he wasn't scared to take the last shot anymore. Howard is expected to break out this year by many or bust and get traded.)

4.Rockets 58-24 ( I know they got Artest but who knows how they'll play together. They might have bad chemistry but they're all good ballers.)

5.Spurs 56-26 ( Getting a little old, but they're still contenders. Tim is still a great PF Who can burst out with firepower at any moment. plust they have the second best 2 in the game in Ginobili so they they'll  probably make to the semis.

6.Suns 52-30 ( They're in the same postiton as the mavs, but the suns are not getting as young as the mavs they're getting older their PG and C are too old. they're about to start rebuilding around Amare in the next 2 years when Nash and O'neal retire.)

7.Blazers 51-31 ( The Blazers are one of the up and coming teams of the nba they're going to make the playoffs this year if Roy's injury doesn't get worse and if no one else gets injured.)

8.Clippers 46-36 ( They got tons of good players that are getting better in Al Thornton and Eric Gordon also Chris Kaman and great veterans in Baron Davis and Marcus Camby so they'll be in the plaoyff race. If they don't get this spot the Warrioirs will.)
