  1. Depends on the type you have...

some don't get boiled at all.

    The instructions tell you clearly

But most standard mouth guards will be boiled for a minute...

    put into your mouth hot...

bite down and suck the air out.

Press with your tongue on the inside - your fingers on the outside...

    DO NOT BITE THRU IT

then drop it into cool water.

    My suggestion:

    do three...

keep one at home, one in your locker, one on your helmet.

  2. I think that you will be best off putting a mouth guard on every other 'teath'.

    Good luck.

  3. didn't you read the instructions that came with it???????

  4. the top teeth..

The idea is that the athlete customizes the fit of the mouthguard by immersing it in hot water (until it becomes soft and pliable) and then placing it in their mouth and subsequently using their fingers, lips, tongue, cheeks, and biting pressure to seat and form the contours of the guard.

  5. You mostly need it for the top, but if you only have one guard, then:

Boil some water.  Have a spoon with holes in it ready. once the water is boiling, turn off the heat. drop your mouth guard into the pot of water for between 5-10 seconds.

Use the spoon to get it out

Stick guard into your mouth, bite down, and suck the air bubbles out.
