Which technique would make sharper lines on walls: painter's tape or freehand ?

i'm an artsy kind of person and i'm planning to paint my bedroom walls with a graffiti-esque style

  1. I prefer free hand,anytime I tried to use the tape it would bleed under the tape.


  2. green tape from h.depot...not the blue one

  3. The kind of art you intend of doing, you need to freehand it else, you would lose that essence of that art. You can use sharpies to work on the edges.

  4. Never count out tools such as painter's tape as being a no no in art. Visit your local autobody supply store or NAPA and get some fine line 3M tape.

  6. for strait lines painter tape but if you can graffiti and your good at it then free hand
