Which temperature setting should i set my air conditioner to make the room cooler, 66 F or 77 F?

That is the adviced room temperature. It makes your oom cool and it saves you electricity.

66F if your house is really HOT (do you live in Texas, too)-but turn it up when it gets to 77*. We keep ours at a constant 78* here.  It doesn't kick on all the time and saves electricity.

Either would make the room cooler, if the temperature of said room is above 77F.

just make sure it's not above 77. you will know which one cools down your house.
