I have again started playing tennis again after a long break (10 years), I used to use Wilson racket earlier. Now my coach got me some racket - brand name "RingMaster". Is it a good brand? Please let me know. He insists it is good. I googled it and found no info on that.

Please guys help!

  1. i think i've never heard of that brand before. but if you feel quite comfortable with it and your coach offers some reasonable price, then go ahead. remember to base your decision on your feel (how your swing performs and not hurting your arms), not because of your coach or anything else.

other suggestion would be looking at some "game improvement" racquets from tennis-warehouse.com. you might also want to demo some oversize racquet (with headsize 110 sq in or more).

    hope it helps :)

  2. it depends upon how you feel with that racket and you could change it if you don't feel right or you are not playing as you did last time.

  3. I've never heard of that racket during four years of competitive tennis. I would recommend the Wilson 6.1 95 and its siblings since they're just about the best rackets anyone can find right now. Still, as you probably already know, you have to demo a racket before you decide.

I don't know anything about this "ringmaster" tennis racket. I've also googled it and I've come up with nothing.

  4. Go hit with it; if you play well with it, it's a good racket. If it doesn't seem to suit your game after a trial period, then switch. Brand names don't mean a lot.

  5. I always go for the racquet that I'm comfortable with. I've been using Prince & I'm comfortable with it.

  6. keep in mind that Wilson is more than one type of racquet; they have lines of racquets that they introduce every couple of years or so, and theres a bunch of racquets that are in that line, like the Wilson Ncode line and the Wilson Kfactor line.  I'm guessing that RingMaster is the name of a specific racquet, not the actual brand.

The most important thing to keep in mind is that YOU have to like the racquet; if your coach is pressuring you to use a racquet that you dont like but he does, then it wont do you all that good.  Everyone has different athletic abilities in tennis, and that leads to different playing styles.  You should find a racquet that matches you, depending on if you are strong or weak, a flat-hitter or a spin-hitter, accurate or inconsistent, or net-player or baseline-player.

Haha i'm sure this sounds confusing but with racquet balance, string tension, head size, weight, and length, there are a lot of variables when it comes to tennis racquets

  7. i like flexpoint radical
