Question:

Which tennis racket should I use?

I'm around a 3.0 player, but I want a good racket that I can use for the next few years.

I think I can improve greatly, so I'm looking for a racket for around 4.0 - 5.0 players.

And can someone please explain the difference between the K six-one and the k six one team?

  1. hey man if u r about a teen i prefere u use n fuere its  Wilson raquets   u should use it

  2. It may help if we knew more about what kind of player you are. And also you should go demo some racquets for yourself because racquets are different for everyone. Here are some racquets to start off with.

    Babolat Aeropro Drive

    Wilson [K] Factor nSix-One

    Head MicroGel Prestige

    Price O3 Speedport White/Black

    Head Flexpoint Prestige

    Hope that helps.

  3. Yeah, as mentioned above, Team is for the "lesser" player who isn't as advanced. If you like Wilson and want a racket you can use as you improve, then go with a kSix-One 95 16x18. I don't know about Prince or Babolat. They are okay if you aren't that good of a player, but my teammates on Varsity started off with Prince and Babolat and desperately wanted to switch to another company, since they were too good as players. Head is also good. You should check out the Head Microgel Prestige Pro or Microgel Radical Pro.

  4. The Prince O3 Speedport White, O3 Speedport Pro White (Jelena Jankovic's racquet), O3 White (Maria Sharapova's racquet) would be good racquets to demo.

O3 Speedport White is comparable to the O3 White. Both weigh 11.3 oz strung and have the power level of 1000. Both have good feel and a good blend of power and control, although I much prefer the O3 White.

The O3 Speedport PRO White is a heavier version of the Speedport White. (11.7 oz strung) It also has a denser string pattern allowing for more control. Perfect for players seeking more control without sacrificing much power. It still has power level of 1000.This is my favorite racquet.

By the way, all of the racquets I mentioned here are for players 4.0+.

Some other racquets that may suit you are:

-Babolat Pure Drive Standard (11.2 oz strung)

-Babolat Pure Drive Roddick (11.7 oz strung, Andy Roddick's racquet. He actually uses the Pure Drive Roddick Plus, which is longer and has more power.)

-Babolat Pure Storm Tour (11.8 oz strung, control oriented racquet with less power)

-Any racquet from Babolat's Pure Storm series

-Babolat AeroPro Drive (Rafael Nadal's racquet, 11.3 oz strung)

You can demo any of these racquets at Tennis Warehouse for as little as $11.50 for two racquets. You get to keep them for one week.

  5. To be honest, you shouldn't use those rackets.  Try a Babalot (Perhaps the one Nadal uses).

  6. The racquets that say "team" after mean that it is for a moderate stroke, ones that dont mean full-stroke. I use the Head Liquidmetal Radical Oversize with babolar pro hurricane tour, its really good, lots of power and control, and its recommended for 4.5+ players, you should try it
