Which tennis racket should i buy..?

Hey, I'm looking at getting a tennis racket for this summer...this will be my first racket as I usually just beg and borrow! I've never had formal lessons, but a friend of mine is in the LTA academy, and so I'm hoping to pick up technique from him.

I'm not an absolute beginner, but would not really call myself an intermediate player yet. I want a racket that will last me as i improve, so looking at the serious brands such as babolat and wilson. Most of the games i will play will be on hard surfaces, and i tend to use a mix of power and control...not a majority of either really. Also like to use backspin and topspin...any suggestions would be great..!

Thanks

  1. Check out Prince Speedport Red in tenniswarehouse.com. it's got decent headsize 105sq, but not too big. good for players 3.0 to 5.5. so quite a wide range there. don't bother purchasing game improvement racquet that's got like 120sq inch of head size. it's got too much power, expensive, and it won't last.

  2. Pure and simple, A babolat pure drive with cortex is the best and only option for you because i use this racket and it is the bet thing ever i am a baseling player like you and i luv this racket it also offers alot of spin from its 16x18 string pattern design.

Use this Racket with Signum Pro Poly Plasma massive spin with and extremly long tension life and well as power and control.

Or The head microgel because it is just under $100 on eBay which is realy cheap. They have copied Babolats design on the wide head and balanced Power to wieght Ratio. These are your best options as for stings

    SIGNUM PRO POLY PLASMA

  3. I agree with MB--the HEAD rackets are the best! My coach has been coaching for at least twenty years and he said that of all the rackets he's tried the HEAD are the best. The Liquidmetal series is really good!

  4. you should really get a HEAD racket

maybe an oversized radical, doesnt matter which model

the older ones are really cheap, but are still great and you will really do great with it

i bought one when i was 13 and now im 16 (and a lot better than i was) and i still use the radical oversize as my secondary racket
