Which the better type of society?

I vote for the simple life, one that is at one with nature.

Industrial society? We consume too much, are isolated from eachother and nature, addicted to drugs, coffee, TV, and make ourselves sick with unnatural, processed food "because it tastes good". WTF?

Let's just say we are the only species stupid enough to endanger our existence by destroying our habitat.

Personally I can speak from BOTH societies as I've been living in the industrialized society for a few years....and I've come (originally) from a very very traditional family

I "now" consider myself of somewhere "in between" because I agree with a few things from my traditional society as well as the  western society I am living in....

Basically I HATE chaos .....work place...family...society....I get too depressed and down...and cant even function(this is why I NEED a change of career...kids drive me insane with their tantrums and fluctuating personalities!!!!!)

The free enterprise system is the best in the world.  Ignorance may be bliss, but who wants to run around the jungle in pajamas all their life?  Doors of opportunity; rewarded for doing good, and making right decisions.  I think the problem comes in the moral/ethical arena that tears at the fiber of a society no matter what kind of system they follow.
