Yellow ones are lower in acid.  The downside is

they don't stain as much when you throw them at

old people.  You gotta take the good with the bad,

I guess.

If you go to the store and try to find yellow tomatoes, they have a lower acidity. If you can't find them in the store you may have to plant them yourself or look at a farmers market.:)

yellow ones, but they are still acidic.

as for tom. substitutes, I don't know.  There are tom something is a ton of things.  replacements:sun dried ones or roasted peppers.
