  1. Glasgow... or maybe somewhere round kent...

  2. The little old market town of Thame between Oxford and London takes some beating for such a small place. Every venue in the main street appears to cater for the thirsty!

  3. Glasgow.

  4. Ormskirk, Lancashire.

14 pubs and no economy to speak of, must surely top the list...

  5. London Colney

  6. I'm sure it used to be Newcastle, although that may no longer be the case as a very large number of pubs there have closed in recent years.

  7. Hazel Grove, Stockport

  8. Why have people said Glasgow?

Glasgow is in Scotland, for those who don't know,

    Greater Manchester in England,

  9. There is allegedly 365 Pubs in York.  That was about 20 years ago and I suppose some may have closed since.

  10. Chesterfield town centre used to be pretty good

  11. not sure but its definately not Telford!

  12. I'd guess Manchester... especially Didsbury village.

It's not a long stretch of road, and yet every single place seems to be either a pub or an estate agents. It's h**l on a weekend night, especially in the summer.

I use to be a pizza hut delivery driver (classy, I know) and spent half my life avoiding drunk people standing on the road (the pub was full) or broken glass.

And to whoever said Greater Manchester, that's a county. And a rather large one too, not a town centre as the poster asked.

  13. Glasgow is not in England!

        Maybe somewhere up north.

  14. Per head of local popolation is is Yeovil in Somerset, reason - old market town
