Which towns are not safe to walk around in Germany late at night and is it just specific neighborhoods?

It would be great if someone would include those bad neighborhoods in Munich, Berlin, and Heidelburg.

When it probably most depends...

When i was visiting the only thing was really bad i guess was a the group of students that i was with had beer bottles and mugs thrown at us..but that what we get for wearing germany jackets similar to soccer jackets and walking past a Italian bar when Germany had beat them the night before...our mistake ;)

The most dangerous cities are:

1) Frankfurt

2) Berlin

3) Hamburg

4) Düsseldorf

5) Köln (Cologne)

The safest city is Munich.

The most dangerous parts of any city is always at and around the main railroad stations.

Just like anywhere else in the world, it's only dangerous at certain times, and certain neighborhoods are worse than others.  I have no problem walking thru downtown anywhere in Germany, but I also don't walk down roads that have no street lights.
