  1. I wanted to get invisalign because I had already wore braces once before and did not want to wear them again. My orthodontists told me if I got invisalign it would take at least a year to close up the spaces I had and if I got braces I would only have to wear them 6-8 months. So I decided to get the braces. The braces were also a lot cheaper than the invisalign.

  2. THERE ARE DIFFERENT APPLICATIONS AND CIRCUMSTANCES IN WHICH FOR WHICH ONE MAY USED INSTEAD OF THE OTHER.

    LISTEN TO YOUR DOCTOR'S SUGGESTIONS.

  3. Braces.

I have invisalign as my retainers...they suck. They hurt, they're uncomfortable, and I can't close my mouth.

Braces are also cheaper, you won't have to wear them as long, and you don't feel them after a while.

  4. i had braces for 4 years and my teeth are still straight. i also had a retainer that was like the invisalign and it stretched after so long. so it no longer helped. i don't know if invisalign does that too but its something to consider. hope this helped!

  5. My dr. gave me the option of both but said if I did invisalign, he would have to extract a few teeth to achieve good results.  I opted for the regular braces.  My sister in law did invisalign and after seeing what they looked like, I would never do it.  Her dentist bonded opaque white small horizontal rectangles on a few of her teeth to give the invisalign trays something to grip on to to hold them on.  It looked horrible.  One was on her front tooth.  Thankfully, she is finished with her invisalign now and they removed the rectangle shaped bonding material.  Her smile does look a little odd though.  It is like the edges of her teeth are pushed in further than the neck of the tooth when she is touching her upper teeth to the edge of her lower teeth.  It is difficult to describe.

  6. I am an adult with braces, I will be 29 on Monday and I thought about this same question before making my decision. I decided to go with the regular braces, the cost was much less for me in my area. I absolutely love them. Although they can be a pain in the you know what at times, I still do not regret getting them at all. I have only been having them on for 3 mths and I have noticed a dramatic difference in my teeth. I notice now a days, no one even notices braces anymore, its very common to see people with braces. When I was younger, it was like eww you have braces, not anymore. I couldnt tell you any of the pros/cons of Invisilign, but I know for myself that I made the right decision with my regular braces.

    good luck
