  1. Trazodone....I never had sweating as a side-effect, just drowsiness.

Trazodone is an tetracyclic antidepressant medication and sedative, not a tricyclic antidepressant.  All tricyclic anti's as well as the SSRI's can cause sweating as a side effect.  They are mild diuretics and will also cause dryness of the mouth.  Conversely, both anxiety and depression they are prescribed for also may have the symptom of sweating.  In turn, excessive sweating is a major cause of dehydration so it is vital to replace lost fluids and electrolytes.

    Discuss it with your doctor, a dose change may be needed.
