  1. I dont think it does, But dont go for a bog standard one, spend about £25  ($50)

I picked up a Giottos HD-334 about 8 years ago while I was on a trip to Australia for use with my Sony Camcorder and my 35mm EOS, I still use it today with my EOS 5D and its a great tripod.  I think I paid around $50 AUD for it, and I am sure that you can get something similar for a decent price.

  3. A good sturdy one like the Bogen-Manfrotto 3021BPRO Professional Tripod ... it is a good one and with a head will cost you around $300.

    Right now you may not have a 400 mm f/2.8 or larger lens, but when you do add a long lens to your system, the little under $150 tripod will have to be replaced ... better to just buy a good one, once.
