For the new teams in Western Sydney and Gold Coast

North Melbourne and Melbourne or Richmond are a good bet.

  1. Let them die here in victoria..............we sent Good old FITZROY to Brisbane in what 97/98? Now Brisbane LIONS have a claim to victoria........

  2. Hawthorn should go to Tassie permanently. Maybe they can change their colors that remind me of #1 & #2's (when you go to the toilet).

Don't forget how much they paid the AFL for VFL park ($1). Thanks to their president, ex premier of Victoria, ( I smell something rotten in the eastern suburbs).

  3. None!!

Victoria is fine as is... because the majority of teams are Victorian, it's most likely that one or a couple are going to struggle each season.

It's good how new teams are being made with no teams merging or coming out of the comp

  4. Melbourne to Tasmania & Essendon to Outer Sydney With A new Team To Be Made For Gold Coast

  5. Kangaroos & the Demons.

They're both being propped up & they get worse & cost everyone more each year.

Either amalgamate them with the new NSW & Qld teams - or give them the flick altogether!

  6. I would rather see us create 2 or 3 brand new teams and just let the weakest Victorian teams die a natural death, otherwise the new clubs will always claim a ridiculous historical link to Victoria in much the same way that the Swans and Lions do.

  7. No team should be moved..... they have history where they are and the fans would be the only ones to suffer.... as a member of my club I would be gutted if they went any where as would thousands of others.... there should be only new teams created and history built from there.... leave the Vic teams alone

  8. I understood that the competition would expand to 18 teams.

Unless my maths fails me, that would mean no teams would have to be cut at all.

  9. Richmond and Melbourne, both c**p teams

  10. leave north alone

    theyve dealt with enough

  11. If I didn't have a choice, I would merge the Kangaroos with Melbourne and send Hawthorn to Tasmania pernamently! And I would dump St Kilda altogether as the players are such rude pigs! (sorry Saints fans)

  12. melbourne was the first ever AFL team, Richmond was also one of the early teams

the AFL i think has enough common sense to keep all the melbourne teams in the AFL let alone the state of Victoria

exept for the kangaroos they should've moved to the gold coast there was many oppurtunities up there for them

they could've become one of those teams like adelaide, port, sydney, brisbane who are very hard to beat when youre playing at their home ground

i support hawthorn and i would hate to see them relocate to another state

  13. port melbourne and ferntreegully

  14. geelong and collingwood

    they are g*y

  15. Teams like Essendon and Richmond will never be moved because of their major fan base. If it was up to me i would choose St kilda because they play lockdown footy and it is boring.

  16. I would cut Hawthorn and St Kilda coz i dnt like those two teams. but if the AFL was to cut the teams they would probably cut Melbourne and Essendon.

  17. North Melbourne and St Kilda

  18. none, considering the competition started out as the Victorian Football League, we have already lost one team in semi-recent years, Fitzroy. not to mention south melb for sydney to be born. why should we loose more Victorian clubs.

  19. None of the teams should be cut. If the AFL are going to introduce more teams it doesn't mean they have to cut any.
