  1. Jefferson, Adams were in Europe at the time of signing. as was Franklin I'm sure other did not sign as well.


  2. A lot of people considered "founding fathers" did not sign the Constitution.

    Thomas Jefferson, John Adams, Patrick Henry....

    Samuel Adams, John Hancock...

    The list could go on....

    The "Founding Fathers" as originally described by Harding were those that participated as patriots in the American Revolution.  That is a pretty broad description that you are trying to apply to 39 signatories of the Constitution.
