  1. The two stations closest to each other are Bank and Monument; they are so close that a short subway links them.

  4. Leicester Square and Covent Garden. It is quicker to walk above ground between them than to descend to buy a ticket and travel.

  5. Covent Garden and Leicester Square are officially the two closest stations together ON THE SAME LINE at just 250 metres apart. It takes 2 or 3 minutes to walk, but at least 5 to go down to the station, wait and travel on the train, and back up again.

    Bayswater and Queensway are only 220 metres apart via the street, but as they are on different tube lines (Circle and Central) it takes 14 minutes to travel by train between the two.

    Regents Park and Great Portland Street also 220 metres apart on Bakerloo and Circle lines.
