Mostly a one peice but check out the range at a sports store. They usually have sporty looking two pieces that wont fall down.

I am on a swim team and people wear both types, 2 pieces mainly because they want to tan their stomachs. If you get a two piece get a speedo or a nike, because they have hidden drawstrings in the bottoms and some of them have adjustable straps on the tops and make sure it fits tight. But a lot of people wear one pieces so the choice is up to you.

One piece, but there are special two-piece ones made by Speedo and Funkita which are made so that they won't fall off, and are made of durable material.
