  1. a fender stratocaster, I got mine for $75 on sale. You can probably get one for a little over a hundred. (dont get a first act, they suck)

  2. Get a squier starter pack it has everything you need to to play right out of the box, plus it's not so expensive!

  3. I'd suggest a classical guitar with  soft nylon strings, which are easier to play and learn on than the steel stringed guitars which other  responders have mentioned.  Many music stores have less expensive models that  can start out at less then $200. Their sweeter, softer tone is a nice alternative to steel strings . Many guitarists prefer it..

  4. It depends on your musical taste but i would say squier strat thats an all around begginers guitar.

  5. I agree with everyone else who suggests the Squier Starter Pack. It's a great first guitar.

  6. You cant go wrong with either a Schecter or an Ibanez. Even their inexpensive models are built very well. Hope this helps..

  7. on google look up beginner guitar.

  8. Having recently bought a guitar I would have to say off the bat i would not recommend the Squier Strat the quality of the pick ups and general feel of the guitar leave alot to be desired. I would suggest trawl the internet join some forums There are some really good guitar articles including a couple on choosing a guitar check this site out for some more advice http://www.ratcliffe.co.za/articles/buye...

Harmony central has pretty decent reviews.

Just generally if you looking at an acoustic Yamaha and Cort are great value for money for beginner guitars.

Electrics are trickier as essentially everything on an electric can be swapped out if need be. I'd again recommend the Cort (really under rated) and epiphones but have a clear idea of the music you're wanting to play and go to the loca guitar store and ask them to show you guitars that fit that kinda sound. Then ask them to play it if you can't play it (most of these guys work for commission they'll do it) if you find a couple that sound good try them out for size comfort is very important. But research as much as you can knowledge really is power

  9. You should probably go for a Squier or a Jackson. A decent one of those two will run you about $200-$400. If you're willing to spend more than that on one guitar, I'd recommend something better, but Squier and Jackson are good beginner guitars.

  10. my first guitar was an Ovation ruby red. The acoustics were awesome and it's got a built-in tuner and it's acoustic/electric so you can plug it up to Amps.

  11. guitar hero  works good lol
