uhh yes it is the dvd there is dvd ram, dvd rw, and a buch of others

  1. Most of the newer players will play them all, it is the older players that are more choosy with the format.  The problem is the big manufacturers were split on this back in the day, so if you are making some discs for family or friends, check what there player is compatible with.  I have the sony recorder, so luckily it can record to both -r and +r and rw formats, so I can make one for whoever.


  2. DVD+R are compatible with most.

    DVD-R are usually just compatible with computers.

  3. It isn't the dvd that isn't compatible with the dvd players. It is your dvd players ability to play the different codes that is needed to record.

  4. I believe the DVD+R and the DVD +RW are compatible with most DVD players.
