  1. All hamsters basically bite the same. If you handle them enough and they get to trust you they won't bite you. I suggest when you get a hamster, go to the store later, because the hamsters will be awake since they are nocturnal. Then ask to hold a few of the hamsters, and see which one you like the best and get that one. But since all hamsters have different personalities they may still bite you. A tip to keep hamsters from biting you, wash your hands before you hold them so your hands don't smell like anything that to a hamster might be tasty.

About your chinese dwarf hamster question,  my first hamster was a chinese dwarf and she was really sweet and she would only bite when she wanted to go back to her cage, and that bite was more like a nibble that didn't hurt.

  2. I think that dwarf hamsters don't hurt as much because they have really small teeth compared to a regular hamster or a teddy bear hamster.

    Hope I helped!!!

  3. All hamsters pretty much bite the same way so there is nothing like biting without hurting. When a hamster is scared, it does not bite hard but does "nipping" - a mild bite which is not painful and does not bleed. However when they get very stressed out, they can bite but as long as you tame them succesfully, you should not have any problem with the hamster biting you.

Syrian hamsters are considered the easiest to have not because they don't bite but because they are easier to tame and are more friendly compared to dwarfs.Overall all types are hamsters are very cute to have as pets and once they get used to you, will be your best friends for life.

  4. i go with the person on top.ther no diference. i had a drawf and it really bit me at first but then it got used to it.

  5. I've have owned teddy bear, syrian and Russian Dwarf hamsters. For me the russian dwarfs were the nicest! They liked being handled and I don't remember if I was bit by one but if so it didn't hurt much. This wasn't the case for the syrian and teddy bear hamsters the ones I owned bite a lot and didn't like to be handled.

I would never get another hamster again I think mice are one of the friendest animals and were very easy to handle!!

  6. I think it would be the one with all its teeth extracted, a full dentist job, barring that its pot luck, as any pet large or small has the potential to bite if so inclined.............

  7. All Hamsters bite the same , but some breeds bite more often than others !I have a winter white and it has never bitten me before. The force of the bite also depends on the hamsters age and how long thier teeth are!!
