  1. Maternal immunoglobin G can pass the placenta to the fetus. Immunoglobin A is present in colostrum, and gives some protection to a new born after the first suckling.

  2. Innate immunity is present at birth and is unchanging during the lifetime. It icludes Stomach acid, lysosome in tears etc to kill pathogens.

Acquired immunity is built up over the course of the lifetime and relies on acquiring antibodies against specific antigens. Acquired immunity can be natural ie from mother via breastmilk or across the placenta during pregnancy or artificial by injection.

    Hope this helps!

  3. Innate (or natural) immunity.  Adaptive (or specific develops after birth.

  4. new-born babies are flame-retardent and can actually repel bullets.
