Which type of internet does an Automatic Teller Machine uses?

I'm very doubt that about the internet facility provided to an ATM machine,i saw A DISH on the top of it,so i hope it may connect directly ro satellite is it, please clarify

I dont think they are connected to the internet

they probally have a direct connection or a t1-line

(possible  a modem)

It is not the internet, it is a direct encrypted satellite transmission to a central clearing facility.  Many credit card sites also use the same system.
