I know a loss is a loss, BUT which type of loss is worse to watch...

high scoring losses (12-10) where your team's offense is on fire, but not enough to catch up with all the runs your team's pitching has allowed.

OR

Low scoring losses (2-1), where your team's pitching is great, but has very little run support.

  1. high scoring bothers me more because than you know that your pitching staff is quite horrid and they always say pitching is what gets you to the top. I agree.

  2. A loss to the Cardinals bothers me the most

  3. Low scoring ones where my team leaves 6 to 10 guys on base always bother me the most.

  4. Low scoring loss.

  5. the second

  6. High scoring because usually they dont have the offense to win the next game after that

  7. Low Scoring.

Are Pitching Staff is Having a Very Bad Year.

Any 'Pitching' excellence is excepted in any given night.

When are offense doesn't click it really bothers me that we let a very easy win go by.

  8. Nothing bothers me more than when a good game by a pitcher is wasted. So a low scoring loss definitely bothers me more.

  9. Haven't experienced a low scoring loss in sooooo long that I have to go with high scoring. When the Reds lose (which is quite frequently) it's almost always a high scoring affair for the other team and a loss!! That's the ones that bug me!

  10. Low scoring losses b/c the Phillies have the huge potential of scoring 10+ runs but sometimes don't...even lately there have been amazing outings my Phils pitchers but no offense to support that. Those are frustrating

  11. I have to say high scoring losses bother me more. I agree with the whole "Good pitching always beats good hitting", so at least my team had good pitching during in the low-scoring game. If my team's pitchers gave up 12 runs in a loss, I'd be more upset than if they gave up 2.

  12. Low scoring hurts more

At least with high scoring, your bats were going and it seems like you are never out but low scoring usually means you have been leaving men on all days and that can boil the blood

  13. Very little run support. The Cards have been getting that more often than not (just check out their bullpen problems).

  14. Low scoring losses.

They tell you that the entire lineup is really struggling to get anything going, plus, I have a LOT of Brewers on my fantasy team, so that means I'm not scoring many points.  Haha...

  15. Low Scoring Losses, because with the Brewers, it's more than likely against a crappy pitcher. John Lannan no hit us through the sixth or so inning. John Lannan...

  16. low score, it hurts a lot when a pitcher pitches his heart out and the offense just couldn't get it done :(

  17. Low-scoring losses are more frustrating for me. Your team had more of a chance in a close game. If it's a blowout, you just say your pitcher didn't have it and move on. But with close losses, you just keep thinking about how if a few things go a different way, the result could have been different.

  18. Like the one the Yankees suffered today.

  19. Low scoring losses because you know your pitchers did really well but the other teams pitching was just a little better.

  20. Low scoring games because the hitters cant get it going...and score runs..

  21. I hate losses no matter what. For me there isn't much difference between 12-10 or 2-1. Unless my team had a 10-2 lead then ended up losing 12-10...that would really hurt.

Back in 2001, the Mariners had a huge lead  in a game against Cleveland before completely collapsing and blowing the biggest lead in franchise history....whenever I see that the M's won 116 games that year to TIE the record, I cringe and think of the one that got away in Cleveland.

  22. Low Scoring games bother me a lot more.

If the score is 12-10 that means that your team showed some fight and probably came back from a deficet at some point in the game.

If the score is 2-1 that means that you wasted a very good effort by your pitching because your offense could not score more then one run.

  23. man u ask the most interesting questions haha but id rather see josh becket or dice K pitch a great game but have low run support. i just love watching great pitching

  24. low scoring.  Its not just sad because you know you had plenty of opportunities to get the win, but because you know your starting pitcher did extremely well, and deserves a win.

  25. low because when you are the cards and your pitching finally does well, the offense forgets to show up

  26. The High scoring loss because they had  a chance

  27. Low scoring...runners stranded on bases. The pitcher trying the best he can & the bats are silent. Not only that but it's a long game to watch. There's always that chance that all it's going to take is a base hit to win or loose the game. To me it's nerve racking.  =o`(

  28. High scoring. I actually have respect for the other team when they pitch well and play stellar defense. But when my team gives up a ton of runs, it's frustrating. Sometimes, watching an opposing Ace on his best night,  is almost worth the loss.

  29. anything close would get me upset go SAWX! greta big sawx fan

  30. Defintely low scoring losses. Your pitching is so great and then your team just can't score.

  31. Low scoring loss.
