I'm trying to decide whether to get a Giant, a Specialized, a Trek, a Diamondback or any recommended ones. I like to go on pavement trails and also take the bike off-roading sometimes. I want a bike with 24-speed and has a full-suspension. Help on which bike i should get?

  1. go for what you can afford

  2. For that price range, you'd get far more bike by avoiding full suspension.   Head to a bike shop and tell them your budget and dont get fixated by a brand name;  test ride several bikes and choose the one that melds with your riding style best.

  3. Get a Gary Fisher.  Also try to go for a 27 speed.  You'll find it much faster.  If you're looking for a real bargain, check out the motobecane's at bikesdirect.com,  It's legit.

  4. the diamondback sport is one well built hardtail people use these bikes for everthing so  this one is good bike for your price range

  5. "Which is a better bike, a Trek or a Specialized?

Or Cannondale or Orbea or Scott or Schwinn or Cervelo. We're asked "Which brand is better?" almost daily. While each brand has its diehard fans, we can't answer the question. It's not because of any political reason, but because it's not the right question to ask--you're buying a bicycle, not a brand. .."
