  1. LCD will provide warmer color but much less contrast. DLP color is not as true but has a much higher contrast ratio that equates to a brighter image. If the majority or the presented material is video like from a DVD consider LCD if your presenting a PC consider DLP. Neither device has a better viewing angle then the other. The viewing angle is determined by the screen surface. And I'd look at nothing but Matt White for the screen.

Lastly, the AV bible says's the last row should not exceed 6 times the screen width. that will help determine image size. Good luck.

  2. You can get much larger screen size from DLP for the same price.  Viewing angle DLP is not as good, but no doubt good enough for your purpose.  For that many students, you would need at least a 60" screen, and LCD sets that big are very expensive.

  3. LCD has a larger viewing angle so it will be more easily seen by everyone.

  4. Both projectors are good for training room. If your budget is under $2500 dollars, you have plenty of both DLP and LCD projectors to choose from. http://tinyurl.com/5nj7xk

As you move closer to $2000, you can buy higher resolution LCD projectors than DLP models for your dollar, and units like the Pansaonic PT-AE700u http://tinyurl.com/6m7fj5 offer 720p resolution and extremely exceptional performance.

    Good luck!
