  1. deep areas with any kinds of logs or thick weeds on the surface but nothing beneath. Any kind of areas where a stream may be dumping into the pond - the stream could be looked upon as a source of food - stuff caught in the current >>> food for the cats...

  2. fishing off a dock is fine too. Just throw in some cut up minnows. Then use some cut up minnows your self. You should get one.

  3. catfish love to spend their time in holes or tunnels at the bottom of ponds. this is how people go noodling, they stick their arms or legs down one of the holes and if a fish bites them they pull it out. look for those tunnels and also underbrush goes a long way towards a big fish.

  4. sunk logs and tires. really anything a catfish could get under and hide in. you can sink your own stuff with permission of the owner of the pond, and mark it so no one hits it, and come and fish that spot in a few days once fish start using it for shelter

  5. yea since there arent many tunnels or caves in ponds you want to look for the biggest structure you can find.  A big rotten tree they can get in and under, or big rock they will lay under, pretty much try fishing any large structure you can.
