It depends what you want to study, and what you want to get out of your time at university! Everyone will have their own view on whats a nice place, and what isnt. And even being the top ranking uni doesnt mean it is going to be right for you!

You really need to go and visit the relevant department for the degree you are applying for, talk to tutors, current students, find out the course structure and an idea of content. Then check out the campus, the area, housing, and anything which you feel you need to make your 3-4yrs of study enjoyable. Keep an open about all universities, do not be swayed by what a few people on here might say - give any unis a fair hearing, gather information and theyn you can make an informed and calculation decision, so hopefully, once you've started you won't be regretting it!!
