We prefer hard drive camera. 1. 400 bucks should be enough for a starter camera.  You can get a regular digital camera and make videos from that and then get a regular video cam.  I'd say regular digital because it can also take pictures and you can also make slideshows!

  2. The hard drive cameras and others that use mini DVDs and flash memory are proving very easy to transfer the video through UB to the computer, but most editing programs can not handle the AVCHD format they are saved in.  You best bet would be to get a miniDV camcorder or a more compact sytem developed for YouTube such as the Flip Mino and the RCA Small Wonder.

Unfortunately, we can not give you any links to any of the items listed above.   Yahoo Answers wants you to do your own research and find your own products on your own time (which we believe defeats the whole purpose of Yahoo Answers).  We were suspended once for doing that, but Yahoo does allow other users to do such things, so maybe one of them will give you a link.

    Good Luck

  3. Try a Flip camcorder or JVC Everio GZ-MS100 or Panasonic SDR-S7 or something. These cameras will let you connect through a computer direct to youtube and upload straight away.
