  1. Lauren is absolutely right. I'd also like to add that for most string instruments, the order of the pegs is always this: the lowest string is always at the bottom left peg (front of instrument facing you), then moving in a U-turn to the top left, then top right, ending at the bottom right where the highest string is.

    This rule also applies to the guitar family, except Ukulele (not tuned from lowest to highest) and 12-string guitar (not sure)


  2. If you are seriously asking this question, I suggest you get someone to string your violin for you.  But, anyway, here's your answer:

    G string bottom left peg

    D string top left

    A string top right

    E string bottom right

    In that order from left to right (lowest to highest noted string)
