Which virtual digital handheld pet would you get?

I am wondering which digital pet i should get like the tomagatchi or pikachu pet or w/e digimon. I was wondering which one you guys think was the most fun and long lasting. Thanks

Pokemon are good on ps2, WII, etc

Tamagotchi are reeeaally good because you can go online and they just keep updating and get heaps better.
