  1. magicjack.com

check it out. you pay 19.99 for the whole year..unlimited calling anywhere in the states and you can talk unlimited internationally if the other person has a jack..so if they paid the 19.99 a year and live oversees you can talk as much as you want..and if you have an us number..pretty neat.

learned about them at the consumer electronics show in vegas!! i love it.

  2. Maybe u should try out the Cordia VOIP Magellan plan at http://www.magnumbers.com/ . Cordia VOIP Magellan plan enable callers to dial the Magellan number that they provided to u and reach u on the landline or mobile phone wherever you are in the world with their local rates.

Or u can try out Cordia VOIP other plans at https://www.cordiaip.com/

They are running a promotion right now where u can enjoy the first month free for all Cordia VOIP plans. The promotion code is AGLEEX182X. But if u forgot to enter this code, u will not enjoy the first month free.

    Good luck.

  3. Each has pluses and minuses.  I use Packet 8 and I am reasonably happy, but occasionally  we have voice quality issues.  The call forwarding works great when you are on travel.

Here is a site where you can see what some folks think of their service.  You will always have a few negatives that may be noisy but isolated events, so you have to look a several opinions to size up a given provider.

  4. right now i am using the one with Video phone,  i have had it since july, and by far their service is better than what my friend used to have (von...)

if you want i can hook you up with one.

23.99 unlimited calls nationwide, puerto rico and canada.

  5. Can you be a little more specific?

How do you want it and how much do you want to pay?

Do you want to be spoon-fed or do you like to do your own slicing and dicing?

    Do you want PC-PC, PC-Phone, Phone-PC, etc...?

Do you want VoIP as a long distance calling alternative?

Or, are you just looking for a home phone replacement VoIP service with all the bells and whistles and 911?

I use InPhonex and CallCentric for my home phone replacement VoIP services.

But, there are many, many options out there...... knowing what you want is a good place to start....
