Combination 1:

Walk (5 min), Jog (10 min), Walk (5 min), Jog (8 min), Walk (5 min)

Total: Walking = 15 minutes Jogging = 18 minutes

Combination 2:

Walk (10 min), Jog (5 min), Walk (10 min), Jog (5 min), Walk (10 min)

Total: Walking = 30 minutes Jogging = 10 minutes

In the end, is it better to jog longer, with less total activity time, or is it better to jog shorter with more total activity time.

  1. High intensity is one of the best ways to lose weight (most people do steady state cardio: just running or just walking). You are close to the answer (I would pick answer #2). Maybe, though, you are much better off doing something like this:

    walk 5

    Light running 5

    sprint 2

    walk 2

    sprint 2

    walk 2

    sprint 2

    walk 1

    sprint 1

    walk 1

    sprint 1

    walk 5


  2. comb 2 at the beging. comb 1 later

  3. combination 2 as this will burn down the calories fast.
