Question:

Which warhammer army is the best for a beginer?

i was thinking lizardmen because i like the way they look and i am a close combat kinda guy but since they are so expensive i have no room for mistakes please help!

Lizardmen are a great army for a beginner.  Their scaly hide and cold blooded rules make them forgiving and the serious magic support they get from a Slann Mage-Priest means that they can dominate most phases without needing deep tactical knowledge.  They're also easy to paint (base coat, dry-brush, metals... and you might like to look into the technique known as "dipping").

    Their only downside is that, as an essentially "alien" race they can lack a sympathetic side that means you don't really identify with your army.  This can cause you to lose enthusiasm for them quite quickly.  However, the way to off-set this is to study your Army Book intently and find the hook or angle in the army that really grabs you and cling to it for all its worth!


  2. Go with what you like. You will pick up the rules no matter what Army you play, there is no "beginner army". If it interests you, looks good, whatever the story, then THAT IS THE AMRY FOR YOU, my friend!
