Bockwinkel vs Hogan (IMO most Hogan matches suck but the swerves that Vern would use with the title was ahead of its time)

The Crusher vs Abdullah the butcher...absolute bloodbath.  Those were the days.  Long live the Crusher, Mad Dog Vachon, and Baron Von Raschke

I did not see many AWA matches in person.  However one that I attended and stands out  was a match of Dusty Rhodes and d**k Murdoch vs d**k The Bruiser and Crusher in the earlier 70's.

These guys were all in there prime in those days and were as tough as you can get.  You had two brawling teams that just ripped each other into a bloody mess.  The match ended in a time limit draw.

The series of matches between Bockwinkel and Hogan were classic; perhaps the best work Hogan's ever done IN a ring.  Bockwinkel and Heenan found every way on Earth to cheat Hogan out of that title for SOOOOO long.  Bockwinkel truly was a vastly underrated champion; he should be considered one of the best ever....from ANY promotion.
