Which way of running is better to get in shape?

I have been running in the morning and at night pretty much every day. On Sundays we don't have practice, so we can choose to run on our own or not.

My question is: Is it better to run:

Saturday-4 miles in morning, 4 miles in evening

Sunday-no running

Monday-4 miles in morning, 4 miles in evening

OR

Saturday-4 miles in morning, 4 miles in evening

Sunday-4 miles in evening

Monday-4 miles in evening

  1. i would run saturday sunday and monday. That way you can spread out your running through out 3 days.


  2. I would run sunday 4 in morn and 4 at evening,take off saturday and relax and go out and have fun,a unhappy runner is never any good and then run monday morn and evening. This way you still have some sort of life instead of just running like forest.

  3. I believe you should try to increase one run a week so that it becomes your LONG run- this will do wonders to build your endurance! I'm thinking Saturdays instead of 2 runs, aim for one longer run - only increase your distance 10% per week, though. For example, Tomorrow, run 4.5, Sunday off. Next week, increase on Sat. to 5 miles and so on.
