Im keeping GORE-MCGAHEE-BOLDIN

Should I trade my 1st rd pick[#4 for PORTIS then I would get 1st rd pick #9] and keep GORE PORTIS MCGAHEE

or keep my original 3 and pick LYNCH at #4

with GORE PORTIS MCGAHEE I could probably get HOLT or JENNINGS at #9

10 team league 13 rds standard scoring

All good QBs are gone I can get Mcnabb-Bulger- or Eli in the late rounds

  1. Personally, I'd rather have Gore, Portis, McGahee, and a top 15 WR over Gore, McGahee, Boldin and Lynch.

Basically, the WR you are going to get is probably just as good as Boldin (Holt, Chad Johnson, Marshall, etc). So really you are asking if Portis is better than Lynch.

Of course he is. Portis has scored 29 TDs in 40 games in the last 3 seasons. He is the offense and he's going to score points. Lynch is good, but he only scored 7 TDs in 13 games (Portis TDs per game is .725 compared to .538 TDs per game for Lynch). Plus Portis played all 16 games last year and 2005 and he has been doing better for longer. Portis has less likely chance of injury with someone to share carries with unlike Lynch and Lynch did miss 3 games last year, so he may have injury questions.

Statistically speaking, take Portis. He's less of a risk (and how do you know you are getting Lynch for sure?).

  2. i really don't like gore or mcgahee. i had mcgahee 2 years in a row (his 2nd and 3rd years playing) and in both years, he was ineffective and injured. he's come nowhere near his rookie year production. gore was good that one year, but since then he's sucked. i don't think he's a 2nd tier rb anymore.

that being said, here's your options:

    1. make the trade: portis is an upgrade for you at rb, imho. also, holt or jennings is a good pickup (more jennings in a keeper league.)

    2. Trade gore and mcgahee for draft picks. i'm assuming players with a lower ADP than lynch would be available. you may be able to get 2 for 1 on them, e.g. 2 2nd round draft picks, or a late first and 2nd. I would be much more comfortable with portis plus selvin young, earnest graham, or brandon jacobs than gore/mcgahee.

    3. keep the 4 and pick a WR. around Holt's ADP are players like plaxico buress, santonio holmes, brandon marshall, wes welker, etc.

  3. Keep your original 3 and draft Lynch if you can. He has way more upside than Portis

Don't get caught up in trying to figure out who may/may not be there when you pick. Let the draft come to you and take the best avail. player. If that happens to be a 4th RB then go with him because you can always trade for a WR. Someone is always looking for a RB at some point and you look like you have some nice depth.

When you say all good QB's are gone are you considering Garrard or is he gone. If he is avail. i would take him over the other guys you mentioned. Also keep an eye on J.Campbell A.Rodgers,M.Schaub,J.Cutler,and J.Delhomme in the later rounds. I feel they are all better options than the guys you listed
